A driver from African Wanderlust Adventures will pick you from your hotel or can pick you from your said location in Moshi or Arusha or at the Airport to your hotel or to Machame Gate to start your tour.
This tour leads you to the first Machame camp 3000m and come back via the same route, same day – there is a 1 hour drive about 35km from Arusha or Moshi, then at Machame gate do initial formalities and get valid permit. The hiking starts at Machame gate at 1800 and the distance to cover to Machame camp is 11km (22km round trip) which will take 4-5 hours for each direction.
Few minutes after crossing main gate, you will encounter a dense Montane forest, with a lot of species of plant such as Impatients Kilimanjaro, a flower found only at Mount Kilimanjaro. You might also see Blue Monkeys and black and white Colubus Monkeys. Pleasant lunch included in your payment, will be provided.
Later take a hike down to find our driver waiting for transferring you back to the hotel or Airport.
